Amber Charlton

Amber joined IE Brand after graduating from Birmingham City University (BCU) first-class honours degree in Graphic Communication. Her practice is very explorative, trying ambitious ideas and processes and them simplifying them to create innovative, sophisticated design solutions.

Before IE, Amber has gained experience on freelance projects with local businesses, working on employability and alumni initiatives at BCU, and supporting the Birmingham 2022 Festival. She’s no stranger to the not-for-profit sector, having volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities Birmingham where she created a welcoming experience for families through environmental design.

Since joining IE, Amber has contributed to a wide range of projects, from creating new logos to developing dynamic brands that work seamlessly across both print and digital. She has also brought brands to life through motion and designed a variety of responsive websites.

In her free time, Amber still taps into her fine art background with drawing, painting and collaging. In her spare time you’ll find Amber renovating her first home, trying to beat her personal best in the pool, looking after her rescue cat, or planning her next travel destination.
